Research findings

I have now finished my blog assignment on research into the history and development of the British National Library. I have posted my research information and now will write up a conclusion that will summarise and close this research project.

My blog research into the Britain Library has been both interesting, time consuming and a valuable learning tool. My searching over the internet took me to various websites to search for information about the library's history from it's origins to current day status. I visited my local public library to find text books on this subject but with no results and the library worker suggested I visit a book shop or try Google books. I was able to locate an online ebook with a chapter on this topic. I have read many interesting articles, mainly from the the BL website with contained a lot of information to evaluate and be selective in what I thought was relevant and important to write in my blog. During the research process I was able to find images and video content that related to the library's history.
Part of my organization of all this information included presenting my findings in chronological order. Keeping a record of the resource for referral and making sure links created to support my research were in working order. I created a folder to keep my files in for my referral throughout my blogging experience. Creating an in-text reference list in Harvard Style for my last blog titled 'Conclusion - Report on the history and development of the British Library' which summaries what I have learnt under the headings 'Origins and Foundations of the British Library' and 'The British Library Today'. The conclusion contains a reference list with links to materials sourced. This reassured me that I was coming to my last blog post. To complete this assignment I will present a report on my research finding. I found myself reading, writing and editing my search results a number of times before sharing my blogs, even then I changed my results along the way. I have learnt to be patient with researching, preparing and publishing a blog.
